Regular readers know that I take a top-down approach to finding trading ideas…
First, I look at the market as a whole to find the overall direction. Then, I look at the various sectors of the market that are the strongest or weakest.
Once I have the market direction and the sector I want to focus on, I then look for the best stocks in that sector and those with nice trade setups and tight pivot areas.
