Momentum is one of the strongest factors in the market.
In the near to medium-term, it’s a far stronger factor than valuations.
That’s why, as today’s chart shows, five month win streaks tend to lead to more wins.
Across 1-month, 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month timeframes…
The broader market was higher the majority of the time – especially on the 6-12 month time frames.
Combine this with the positive seasonality in Q4…
As well as the continuation of the Fed rate cutting cycle…
And things are shaping up for an explosive fourth quarter.
But positive momentum is just one of the things that’s making me so excited for the fourth quarter.

As you can see, right now, individual stocks are A LOT more volatile compared to the broader index.
Factor in the broader market tailwinds…
And it means that many stocks are going to be jumping far ahead of the market.
This is good news for smart traders…
Because it’s what will allow us to target true outperformance in a strong market.
