A trader sits at a desk looking pensively at a stock chart on a glowing monitor, with a visible expression of hesitation or second-guessing. On the screen, a stock line that previously dipped sharply is now clearly recovering and trending upward, symbolizing a missed opportunity in plain sight. The scene is lit with a warm, hopeful glow contrasting with cooler shadows, visually representing the tension between past losses and new potential.

Hey friend,

While news of the Democratic midterms sweep initially dropped stock futures – as their heavy-handed regulation policies could stall the AI buildout…

News that President Trump had acknowledged the victory helped calm things and lifted stocks yesterday.

Time will tell whether the post-election surge can continue.

The Daily Direction

Note: All stocks closed higher yesterday – sending all index directions (with the exception of the Nasdaq) back upward.

The Daily Nugget

Don’t let an old opinion cost you a new opportunity.

With the midterms behind us, money is moving into different parts of the market. Some stocks you gave up on months ago deserve another look.

That can be hard if you lost money on one of them.

You see the name and remember buying too high, watching it fall, then finally selling.

You don’t want to go through that again.

So you skip it, even when the stock starts to improve.

The trouble is, you’re judging today’s trade by what happened months ago.

A company can fix the problem that drove you away. If sales recover and buyers come back, the reasons you sold may no longer hold.

You were right to get out then. You can still be right to consider it now.

A poor trade in June can become a good setup in November.

Give it the same look you’d give a stock you’ve never owned.

You may still pass, but at least you’ll be judging what’s in front of you.
