BlackRock reported third-quarter 2026 results showing total client assets climbing to $15.49 trillion and net inflows of $205.5 billion for the quarter, alongside adjusted earnings per share of $15.93 and revenue of $7.75 billion, according to the earnings release as reported by Stock Titan. The adjusted per-share figure beat the $14.13 consensus compiled by LSEG, CNBC reported, and the world's largest asset manager's shares rose 5% in premarket trading Wednesday on the news, CNBC said.
Assets Climb on Flows and Market Gains

Assets under management rose to $15.49 trillion from $13.46 trillion a year earlier and $15.34 trillion in the second quarter. CNBC attributed the growth to a combination of new flows into BlackRock's iShares ETFs and rising valuations across a robust equity market, rather than to flows alone.
ETFs were the dominant engine behind the inflow total, taking in $134.5 billion, or roughly two thirds of everything that came in during the quarter, according to Stock Titan's breakdown. Within that, bond ETFs alone pulled in $66.1 billion of the $78.2 billion that went into bond funds overall. Long-term inflows, which exclude cash funds, totaled $175 billion and were led by the Americas, which supplied $125 billion, with Europe, the Middle East and Africa contributing $31 billion and Asia-Pacific $19 billion, Stock Titan reported.
Not every client category added money. Institutional clients, a group that includes pension plans, pulled $27.4 billion out of BlackRock's index accounts, an outflow the earnings release did not explain, per Stock Titan. That withdrawal is already netted into the quarter's overall flow figures and is a reminder that large institutional index mandates can swing BlackRock's totals by tens of billions in either direction.
Earnings Beat and Margin Expansion
Adjusted profit of $15.93 per share beat the $14.13 consensus compiled by LSEG, CNBC reported, while Stock Titan cited a separate $14.04 consensus from Zacks Investment Research. On a GAAP basis, BlackRock earned $10.57 a share, up from $8.43 a year earlier. The largest item separating the two measures was a $564 million noncash charge tied to the change in the value of payments BlackRock still owes the sellers of the infrastructure investor GIP and the private credit firm HPS Investment Partners; the release says that amount "is impacted by the share price of BlackRock common stock at the end of the period," per Stock Titan. On the adjusted basis, the operating margin rose to 47.8% from 44.6% a year earlier, Stock Titan reported.
Elsewhere in the quarter, performance fees rose to $630 million from $516 million — which the release ties largely to a single hedge fund whose annual measurement period ends in the third quarter — and technology services revenue, which includes the Aladdin investment software, rose 14% to $588 million, Stock Titan reported. CEO Larry Fink said in a statement that "market fundamentals are strong and well supported, with higher margins and earnings momentum catalyzed by new technology," according to CNBC. Bottom line: the beat rested on asset growth driven by both flows and market valuations, and Fink's description of BlackRock "entering our seasonally strongest fourth quarter with accelerating momentum" is the company's own expectation rather than a measured result, as Stock Titan noted.
